Royal Caribbean is going big in Mexico. The cruise line just unveiled plans for Perfect Day Mexico, its boldest destination yet—opening in fall 2027 on Mexico’s Caribbean coast. This new private port will span 200+ acres and serve up a thrilling mix of record-breaking water slides, chill beach clubs, and family-friendly fun, all infused with the local flavor of the Yucatán.
What to Expect at Perfect Day Mexico
This isn’t just another beach stop. Perfect Day Mexico will feature seven themed neighborhoods offering everything from all-out thrills to ultra-relaxation. Whether you’re after adrenaline or a margarita by the pool, here’s what’s coming:
Fiesta Plaza
Start your day with a bang at this vibrant arrival area. Mariachi bands, local art, and The Tipsy Sombrero bar—topped by the world’s largest sombrero—set the mood for your perfect day.
Loco Waterpark
Brace yourself for 30+ waterslides—including the tallest slide tower in the Americas and the longest water coaster in the world. Highlights include: Jaguar’s Peak: a 170ft tower featuring dueling slides & raft slides, Hydrolaunch slides, the world’s first Sombrero-shaped slide, capping it all off with a giant wave pool & kid zones.
Splash Cove
Ready to drift? Float the world’s longest lazy river, with a crazy twist—rapids, waves, and even a few surprises. This area also includes: A massive 100,000 sq-ft pool, Royal Caribbeans’s largest Splashaway Bay, as well as Splashaway Cabanas available to rent.
El Hideaway (Adults Only)
This 18+ zone is all about the party. Think swim-up bars, a live DJ, and private party cabanas complete with their own pools. Prefer chill over thrill? Lounge in the sand, sip cocktails, and enjoy live music all day long.
Costa Beach Club
For those craving exclusivity, this upscale beach club features: a heated infinity pool, premium dining, private cabanas, with unmatched views and amenities.

Cruise Itineraries and Opening
